From May 3rd to May 6th, we open the gate to a magical world and show beyond your imagination. According to your tastes, you can choose to discover a short part of our selection or to explore a multitude of films that may transform the stories’ reality with yours.You have a film or web serie that could interest us? Oblikon Film Festival is open to anyone who have made a short film or a web serie (minimum one episode) of 20 minutes or less. Whether your film is fiction, animation, french or international, you can participate, regardless of the budget dedicated to it.
The selected films will be announced on March 26th. The winners will have the chance to see their film shown in a great cinema in Paris in addition to great cash prizes.

Movies touch our hearts and awaken our vision, and change the way we see things. They take us to other places, they open doors and minds. Movies are the memories of our life time, we need to keep them alive.
SHORTS OF FICTION AND ANIMATION
The short films are the future because they are the first steps of a filmmaker. François Truffaut, Ridley Scott, Christopher Nolan and so many others directed shorts before becoming at the headliners acclaimed by the public and critics today.
In the selection committee, we love all kinds of films, from science fiction to intimate drama, through the horrifying thriller … What interests us most is the boldness, narrative and / or visuals. We want to discover fictions and animated films that surprise us, upset or amaze us.
WEB SERIES EPISODES
The web series represents the future in the sense that it is an innovative format, in tune with the times, which is attracting more and more industry players (televisions, companies, press groups …). Since the early 2000s, several web series have established themselves as cult, ambitious, and sometimes far superior than the proposals made in feature films. Authors like Damon Lindelof, J.J. Abrams, David Simon and Ryan Murphy have stood out with their complex and exciting creations.
Your web series must have at least one episode, but if you have several, it’s great too! The selection is made on the basis of the first episode. The jury reserves the right to watch or not the following episodes to decide the winner.
THE DIFFERENT COMPETITIONS AND CATEGORIES
We created three separate competitions:
- Short fiction films
- Animated short films
- Web series
In addition to these three main categories, there are three others prizes:
- Jury Prize – Short French work (short or web series – automatically qualified when registering in one of the previous categories)
- Jury Prize – Short international work (short or web series – automatically qualified when registering in one of the previous categories)
- Best score (short or web series – automatically qualified when registering in one of the previous categories)
- Best performance (short or web series – automatically qualified when registering in one of the previous categories)
- Best director (short or web series – Additional category, it is necessary to register in one of the main categories to register in this one)
PRIZES AND AWARDS
All the films selected also benefit from an official laurel via FilmFreeway. More prizes will be announced during the event.
The winners will be announced during a live event in Paris. The public will have the possibility to enjoy the whole selection for 1 week.
